Dear Club Rep,
Please find
attached the agenda for the captains meeting and a ,slightly revised notice for
the EGM which is to precede the captains’ meeting.
The amendments to
the EGM notice are explained in the captains’ meeting notice. Please make sure
that your captain(s) are at the StoneX before 7.00pm which is the start time
for the EGM. We hope that the EGM will take no more than 15 minutes so that we
can get on with the main business of the evening by 7.15. For reasons explained
at the AGM we were not able to hold our presentation of divisional winners at
the Saracens match at the Tottenham Stadium at the end of March and will
,therefore , make those presentations on 1 May. We will intersperse sections of
the meeting with four separate lots of presentations in an attempt to provide
some variety!
It is important
that your club is represented not only because of the additional 5 points on
offer for attendance but also because there some important changes this season
to player registration ,results reporting and disciplinary procedures. Many
clubs have done all their Play Cricket registrations but not all and if those
clubs still to complete their Play Cricket registrations have not done so by
the first league game then there will be fines and points deductions . The process
has already been explained by Richard Mason and his team but the details and
requirements will be explained again on the night.
New captains will
also benefit from a resume of other requirements and the few match rule changes
that come into operation this season.
A last reminder
that clubs will not be able to take the balls away with them after the meeting
if payment has not been received by Readers and the league(for the Dukes balls)
by the date of the meeting. I have emailed all clubs that are still to pay
today so please make sure that the message gets to your treasurer quickly if
you are still to pay.
Kind regards
Barry
